a daughter: a giant lightbulb who shines my days and lights my way.
a husband: so far we’ve never run out of stuff to talk about. i like that. i like him. i also like that he walks the dog, kills the occasional insect, and knows how to make me a perfect cup of tea.
a disease: cystic fibrosis. it’s a doozy.
a dog: she is obese, moody, and precious. i usually tolerate her, and sometimes adore her.
a habit: lots and lots of books and a never empty cup of coffee.
a desire: to share the poetry that has improved and saved my life-countless times-with the rest of the world.
